Phase 3: Results

2012 call

The Arquia Foundation, taking into consideration the educational value that practical knowledge of the profession and geographical mobility imply, awards 20 arquia grants for architecture students and young architects so that they can undertake internships at European architecture studios.

There are two ways of applying: academic transcript and tender. You can opt to participate in one or both simultaneously. 10 grants are awarded for each mode.
To ensure adequate geographic distribution of the grants, the number of valid entries will be weighted proportionally by school and application mode.
Architects who have obtained a minimum of 60% of the credits required to qualify as architects from a Spanish School of Architecture and who are enrolled for the 2011/2012 academic year; and architects who qualified as architects from a Spanish School of Architecture after 30 April 2011.

Academic transcript

Candidates will be selected according to their academic transcript. This is assessed by the average mark obtained in degree subjects passed, as well as by the average mark obtained in design project modules passed (for this purpose, all modules that come under the department of architectural projects shall be taken into consideration). These average marks will be calculated by the applicant, as specified in Annex I of the requirements and shall be recorded in the registration on the page, to be sent via Internet. In addition, when submitting your application, a copy of your national identity card and of your last university enrolment or your degree certificate must be attached in PDF format. Later, the Foundation will require a copy of your academic transcript in the same format, which must be sent from the 'private area' that will be created for each registered applicant (this area can be accessed via the website by entering your user email and password). See 'ABOUT' .

2012 tender

Students will be selected according to the material submitted to the tender. The Foundation has entrusted the architect Eduardo Arroyo with the definition of the topic and the resolution, as the sole member of the jury.

  • Topic: 'Penance!'

Proposals submitted by means other than the Internet or received after the call has closed will not be accepted.
The presentation must be given by one person only. To ensure the anonymity of the applicant before the jury, personal data should be omitted from files submitted.
The jury's decision is final.
The Foundation reserves the right to reproduce and/or exhibit the proposals submitted to the tender either partially or in their entirety.
