Max Bill - A classic of the future in the arquia/film archive

20 AGOSTO 2014 / FILM ARCHIVE

This week, we recommend a documentary on Max Bill, a Swiss architect highlighted as part of the Bauhaus generation of the 30s, a generation that continued the rationalist currents defined by Mondrian, Van Doesburg, Moholy-Nagy and Vantongerloo. This multi-talented architect was also a painter, sculptor, theorist, teacher, designer and, on occasion, a politician.

The film oscillates between art, aesthetics and politics. Max Bill was the most famous disciple and anti-fascist of the Bauhaus founders. All of his work as a painter, sculptor and architect is based on social responsibility and environmental awareness, which has gained enormous importance in the current climate.

You can watch the documentary in the arquia/film archive.
