GOLDEN LION FOR THE SPANISH PAVILION AT THE 15th VENETIAN INTERNATIONAL BIENNIAL EXHIBITION OF ARCHITECTURE

31 MAYO 2016 / FOUNDATION

Titled 'Unfinished', the exhibit has received the Golden Lion Award, a prestigious award given by the organization of the Venetian International Biennal of Architecture in its fifteenth edition 'Reporting from the Front', directed by Chilean architect Alejandro Aravena, Pritzker Award 2016.

The exhibit curated by Carlos Quintáns and Inaki Carnicero contains examples of recent architectural projects, born of rejection and economy of means, designed to evolve and adapt to future needs and rely on the beauty of the time. Projects that interpret architecture as unfinished, evolving, and at the service of man, at a time of uncertainty about the profession that makes this consideration relevant today.

The exhibit opened on May 28 and will stay open until November 27, 2016.

The Arquia Foundation and the Ministry of Development have collaborated in editing the catalogue, which you can see HERE or download in paper format HERE .
