The kitchenless city - Anna Puigjaner in Arquetipos no. 6

28 MAYO 2018 / FOUNDATION

Anna Puigjaner (Barcelona, 1980) is an architect from the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB) and the co-founder of the MAIO office (together with Maria Charneco, Alfredo Lérida and Guillermo López). As well as working in MAIO, she is a professor at the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura del Vallès Barcelona (ETSAV), she has co-edited the magazine Quaderns d’Arquitectura i Urbanisme (2011-2016) and (together with Moritz Küng, Curro Claret and Guillermo López) she is responsible for the «TheWholeHoleHall» exhibition project. In 2014 she presented her doctoral thesis La ciudad sin cocina (the kitchenless city), a study which is currently being expanded since it won the Wheelwright Prize awarded by Harvard University in 2016

Due to the wide variety of areas and issues discussed, the conversation with Anna revolves around the four cornerstones of Puigjaner's work: research, education, publishing and architecture.
