The Davos Declaration:for the quality of the built environment.

12 JUNIO 2018 / FOUNDATION
  • Under the name Baukultur - the culture of building, the Davos Declaration stresses the need to enhance the quality of the built environment and it promotes public policies that seek to stimulate this, develop it and place it at the heart of urban transformations.
  • At the launch event, representatives from the Swiss government, the driving force behind the Declaration, and the President of the Architects' Council of Europe and other representatives from professional associations, revealed its content, commending it for meeting the objective of defining a common European position to improve the quality of the built environment.
  • The Declaration has been signed by the European Commission, the Council of Europe, the vast majority of the governments in the European Union and by other non-governmental organisations from the fields of culture, architecture and heritage, such as UNESCO, EUROPA NOSTRA, ICCROM and the Architects' Council of Europe.
  • This event was organised and promoted by the Higher Council of the Spanish Architects' Associations and sponsored by the Arquia Foundation.
