The Arquia Foundation appreciates the recognition received for the work carried out during its more than 30 year history, promoting cultural, social, welfare, professional and training activities for the world of architecture and related fields.

On 21 November, the Arquia Foundation received at an official ceremony in Madrid the distinguished Medal of Honour of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando. This award, given for the first time to an architectural institution, has rewarded its social and cultural promotion work, bringing the figure of the architect and architecture closer to society, showing their creative, economic and social dimension.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished authorities of the Ministry of Development and representatives of the most important institutions in the sector. The president of the Foundation Javier Navarro was entrusted with collecting the medal from Fernando de Terán, director of the RABASF, accompanied by the members of the Governing Council and Gerardo García Ventosa, director of the Foundation. In his speech, Javier Navarro stressed that “the receiving of such an important award is a recognition of our efforts, a consideration for our track record and a great incentive for the future. All this has been made possible thanks to the invaluable support and collaboration of our partners.”
