  • Jackson Pollock's movements above his canvases, arranged on the floor of his workshop on which he carelessly dropped the paint from his brush, gave a name to the action painting, which cannot be understood without that imposed dynamism and, no doubt, necessary. Although the RAE accepts other forms of action as action, the actions and reactions to which we refer are fundamentally those that need the movement, the dynamic.

This thesis invites us to approach the knowledge of architecture through the study and understanding of the actions and also reactions that occur in their generation processes, most decided from the active and provocative positioning of the architect. An actor who, through his own action, is capable of generating other actions in those who finally inhabit these architectures as well as reactors or, again, actors in their experience with the world. Actions generated from the action, or also, the architecture from their actions and their reactions.

The constellation formed by the multitude of examples that share this scene background have been rearranged by a methodology close to the archives through the legible insinuations detected from the certain statements from which we depart. The many examples collected, accumulated and analyzed in this work are in some way related to architecture, or with these concepts capable of giving shape to it, to end up explaining it from those positions that trigger certain mobility or imply an active dynamism of the parts, certainly far from others more traditional and linked to the static and gravitational, characteristics of works more concentrated in themselves, more centripetal and object.
